MOMS BACK-TO-SCHOOL WARDROBE

EDGY CLASSICS FOR A NIGHT OUT

I had fun collecting a list of stand-out pieces I'd love to include in my wardrobe this Fall season.  I call it Mom's Back-To-School Wardrobe.  Mama needs some new clothes too:)  From business meetings to a girls night out, I have several areas in my closet that need a few new pretty things.  I found some great classic styles such as denim, leather skirts and jackets, and sweaters that have been updated to include vegan friendly faux leather, more distressed denim, and the cold shoulder.    CLICK PHOTOS TO SEE WHERE TO BUY THESE PRODUCTS.

After looking at this group together, these pieces would make for a good weekend travel wardrobe.  Throw in a pair of colored twill and an extra tee to round it out.    Arrive to your destination in style!

Casual Friday kicks off the weekend

I heard from all the shop owners I visited that warm earth tone colors are in for Fall.  Rust, olive, eggplant, camel and cream in both tops and bottoms are your go-to Fall colors.  Another trend you've seen may have noticed, is the Cold Shoulder, which is exposed shoulders in tops and sweaters.   Luckily anything goes with denim bottoms.   Whatever wash, fit, or destructive fabrics you prefer.  Our local boutiques offer price points on jeans anywhere between $60 to over $200.  You can find the best denim brands in town such as Paige, Joes Jeans, Hudsons, DL1961, James Jeans, Dr. John, and more.  CLICK PHOTOS TO SEE WHERE TO BUY THESE PRODUCTS.

BOOTS!  How many pairs do you have?  I have only 3 pairs of boots, both tall and ankle height.  I've been intriqued by the peep toe bootie trend that has been a staple the last few years.  It may be time to buy a pair before my toes hibernate for the winter.   And you can't have too many sweaters.  Especially when sweaters and sweatshirts are designed with cooler fashion details that are anything but boring.

"IT'S THE FREAKIN WEEKEND, BOUT TO HAVE ME SOME FUN!"

Ahh, the weekend.  What are we going to do today?  Whatever it is, keep it casual and cool and make it fun.  Why wear a boring sweatshirt and ill fitting jeans when you can blend comfort and style together for a casual, fashion-forward look that turns up your style factor.   Don't be afraid to wear a colored bottom with neutral layering pieces, or a fun utility jacket with sparkly patches.  And a great pair of earings can instantly transform your look from boring to WOW.  I once heard from a good friend...."On a bad hair day, wear a fabulous pair of earings."-Patti Masuda (LulaRoe -Patti Masuda).  CLICK PHOTOS TO SEE WHERE TO BUY THESE PRODUCTS.

lounging in style

Sweatpants just got hipper with the JOGGER style.  A lower rise knit pant with a relaxed fit thru the seat to a tapered leg and cuffed hem mimick your favorite pair of old sweats.  Not just for around the house anymore, these little joggers are cute to wear running around town.    Slip on a pair of QUAY shades and deconstructed denim jacket for extra cool points.  The cozy slippers and sweaters below from UGG are luxurious and super warm to snuggle in on a cool day.   (SaVi Boutique products in photo above).

if you're an UGG fan...

....you can find their products at UP FRONT ESSENTIALS, in Leavenworth and SAVI BOUTIQUE, in Wenatchee.   Up Front carries the UGG shoe line in several styles that never go out of style.  These shoes are great quality, comfort, fit, and built to last. CLICK PHOTOS TO SEE WHERE TO BUY THESE PRODUCTS.
