CLASS WITH A GLASS
Never painted before? Perfect! NO experience is necessary.
Everyone is an artist at Class with a Glass. Picasso has nothing on us when we let the paint brush do the talking. Open less than 6 months, Class with a Glass has become the new ‘girls night out’ fun spot.
Their motto is “Connecting Community Through Creativity”. Their goal is to create a unique experience that is relaxed, stimulating, and most importantly, fun. All you need to bring is an open mind and they provide the rest.
Before you get started, you can mingle, order a glass of wine or beer, and enjoy small bites from Tastebuds Coffee & Wine. The food is included in your admission, but beer and wine by the glass or bottle is separate. It was nice to see an extensive wine list from our own region.
There is a talented instructor on hand to guide you step by step thru the painting process. Pre-selected paintings are posted on their website schedule. Or if you can get a group of 10 or more, you may select what you would like to paint. Count on being there at least 3 hours. Not that the painting takes that long, but there is always a little socializing and checking each other’s paintings out.
On the night I was there, the painting of choice was the bicycle. A few of my fellow painting friends decided to go rogue and paint something else. But they did it beautifully and had a little help from the instructor.
Class with a Glass will offer additional painting classes in the future using other mediums and separate kids classes. Cost of a class is $35, and you get to keep your painting to display proudly on your wall.
