CASHMERE - LADIES DAY OUT
This post is meant to inspire the ladies who love a day out with their friends. Perhaps it’s lunch, shopping, and a little wine tasting. If your looking for some inspiration on where and what to do on a girls day out, I’ve highlighted a fun day trip to Cashmere where you can do just that… eat, shop and wine taste. It’s fun to get out and experience something different in your backyard. And of course this post can apply to anyone!

ESPRESSO & CROISSANTS @ ANJOU BAKERY
A turn-of-the-century fruit warehouse turned into an award-winning bakery, Anjou Bakery is a small production bakery grounded in European tradition with an American twist. Baked pastries, hearth-baked breads, espresso, and sandwiches crafted with house-made Parisienne style baguettes are best enjoyed on the outside patio on a warm sunny day.
HOURS: Thursday - Sunday 8:00-5:00
3898 Old Monitor Rd, Cashmere, Washington
DOANE’S PHARMACY FOR NOVELTY GIFTS
Doane’s Valley Pharmacy is a cute pharmacy and merchantile store with a little bit of everything. You would think Doane’s is just a pharmacy (and it is), but it also sells a little home decor, gifts, kids toys, jewelry, ladies clothing, and many other fun items and necessities.
This is where you would want to pick up your novelty Cashmere tee shirts and vinyl stickers.
In the back of the store is an fashioned soda counter you can order ice cream cones, sundaes, milkshakes, banana splits and other ice cream classics.
Doane’s Valley Pharmacy, 119 Cottage Ave, Cashmere, WA (509) 782-2717
TIME TO EAT LUNCH ON THE DECK OVERLOOKING THE WENATCHEE RIVER
You actually have several good places to eat in Cashmere from drive-up windows to a brewery deck overlooking the Wenatchee River. My suggestion is the later, fish tacos or chef’s salads at Milepost 111 Brewery. A popular neighborhood spot with good pub food, lively ambiance, and a great view. Milepost is open Monday-Sunday 11-8pm and Fri/Sat 11-9pm.
Milepost 111 Location: 407 Aplets Way, Cashmere, WA, (509) 888-0222,
TASTE WINE, SPIRITS, OR HARD CIDER
Perhaps between your shopping and eating should be a quick stop to taste the fermented fruits of Cashmere at either Leony’s Cellars, It’s 5 Artisan Distillery, and Barns Hard Cider Shed. The tasting rooms are open weekends, so you’ll need to contact each one for additional seasonal hours.
Two of the mentioned tasting rooms above are located in Mission District, downtown Cashmere, around the corner from Urban. Barns Hard Cider Shed is a short drive from downtown, located in a rural setting surrounded by orchards and the Cashmere Cider Mill. You can taste delicious heirloom ciders in a funky shed that exudes amusing charm.
Well, that should complete your fun ladies day out exploring Cashmere! More fun day trips coming soon!
Barn’s Hard Cider Shed, 5420 Woodring Canyon, Cashmere, WA, (509) 670-8029
Open Thurs-Friday 11-4, Saturday 11-5
